Text / SMS Marketing are normally mentioned in the same phrase. We are all familiar with the term "Text" these days. and yes, it works just like a normal text message, only with a huge positive impact. Before we get into the how's, let's answer the question that is on most people's mind when they here the term "SMS". Well, think for a moment, have you ever sent a really long text or graphic image as a text and it said "converting to SMS? The same applies here. The only difference between "text" & "SMS" is the format used to send it. Over a certain character limit, images such as pictures, coupons, flyers, etc., and also gifs are sent as "SMS" messages rather than "text" messages. The are received and opened in the same way though. Text/SMS are a part of the Mobile Marketing Revolution. Yes, we called it a revolution.

It is quite possibly the greatest advancement in Marketing since the Television was first introduced. There is not a more direct delivery of your message available today. Not to mention, the open rate of text/sms hold strong at 90-95 %. Yes, that right, 90-95% of all text messages sent are read, however, that is not the only fascinating aspect of test/sms Marketing. Not only are 90+% of text/sms messages opened and read, almost 95% of these messages are read within 15 mins! I think by now, you are catching my drift about the importance of Mobile Marketing. With that in mind, the real art is not just knowing that you need it in your strategy, if not, the bulk of your strategy, no, the real trick is knowing how to use it and use it effectively. Any time that you are streamlining direct to the potential customers private space, you sold head caution to be sure that you are handling that space with respect while attempting to engage. remember, one text that replies with the word "STOP', and that is the end of your direct contact to that consumer. I think you get it! Btw, don't let me forget to tell you about how the 80/20 Rule (my favorite marketing strategy) and Mobile Marketing are a nearly perfect match. In fact, while I am writing this, I think I will highlight it for myself so that it sticks out like a sore thumb while I am looking over this website on the front end... you know, just in case I forget and you forget to remind me. 😉

With that in mind, we will learn about strategy here very soon. However, I think we will start with the basics of how the the Text/SMS flow works and then go from there. Here is the basic concept of the process from the very start. I would say start to finish though if this marketing flow is handled properly, there is no finish. Just a continual cycle.
